Features
Innovative TransPacktor Case Packing
Meet the standard for bottle, canister, or case packing applications. The TransPacktor replaces old-fashioned drop case packing technology with a patented system that minimizes change over time and provides an ultra-compact footprint. The system utilizes AFA’s gantry robot technology to place an open case over the collated bottles. This solution eliminates product damage from dropping the bottles in the case and simplifies the changeover process. No more having to change out heavy bottle laning parts and loading funnels, the TP-RCP just needs to change out the collating plates for different bottle sizes and arrays.
High-Speed Case Packer
Our CP series offers the heavy-duty case packing required to reach speeds of over 25 cases per minute on a monobloc frame. That means case erecting, loading, and sealing are all conveniently completed on one frame, saving valuable floor space and changeover for end users. To further increase speeds, our TL series case packers can integrate with AFA’s Transerector Case Erector or a customer-supplied case erector to reach 35 cases per minute or greater.
Gantry Robot Case Erecting
Our gantry robot case erecting provides highly efficient case erecting. Our gantry robot case erectors will pick the case’s length panel, and a servo-driven case opening arm will pick the width panel of the case. With the length panel stabilized, the case opening arm will pull the width panel open, creating a completely secured and stable RSC. With this, the system can conveniently place the case into case carrier lugs or drive the case through the loading and sealing processes of the case packer. The erector can be set up for either end load or top load style case packers.
Flat Stack Magazines
Our case magazine is very ergonomic for operators. Operators place a stack of cases in a flat orientation on the case magazine, and the case magazine will convey the stack of cases to the gantry robot’s erecting area. Our case packers will also automatically square the case stack before the gantry robot begins erecting cases. This feature ensures the case-erecting robot picks from the same position per cycle. Our flat stack magazines also have no pins or tabs, ensuring excellent case quality through the case packing process.
Heavy-Duty Frame Construction
AFA Systems’ 4” x 4” painted steel frames provide 24/7 operation and can deliver 35 cases per minute (cpm) at intermittent speeds with no machine vibrations. The frame design has easy access to all the components on the case packer for servicing and replacing worn items on the machine. Our case packers have the option of upgrading to a stainless steel frame.
