Our gantry robot palletizers are the perfect addition to finish your end-of-line packaging.
With our modular designs, you can easily integrate shrink-wrapping systems or pallet conveyors into the system. Furthermore, our cantilever gantry palletizers can easily fit into plants with low ceiling heights. Our palletizers offer multi-layer or single slip sheet inserters, pallet dispensers, and pallet discharge conveyors. AFA can utilize an Allen Bradley Safety PLC for multi-cell applications to ensure all local safety regulations are met.
Features
Full Access to New Pallet Patterns and Product Sizes
Our intuitive palletizer PanelView HMIs allow operators to set up new pallet patterns, recipes, and product sizes. There is no need to go through AFA to set up new sizes. Our HMI recipe creators allow you access to all the necessary components to set up new sizes. Furthermore, our Allen Bradley PLCs can store up to 50 recipes, giving you high flexibility to meet your customer demands.
Overhead or Cantilever-Style Palletizers
AFA offers cantilever-style gantry robot palletizing cells. This set-up provides palletizing cells less than 9′ in height to fit within ceiling height restrictions. The cantilever-style design also allows for high-speed operation with up to 12 picks and placements per minute and up to 40 products per minute. Our overhead-style gantry palletizing robot is ideal for heavy-duty applications where the product’s weight is over 20 kg.
Wet Environment Construction
Our gantry-style palletizers offer stainless steel framing and components. We can also provide anodized aluminum frames and components for more economical solutions. Furthermore, we can provide stainless steel cabinets and junction boxes with sloped tops to better protect your investment. Food-grade or full stainless steel hygienic servo motors are also optional on our gantry-style palletizers.
Combination Case Packer Palletizers
The innovative AFA combination case packer palletizer is an excellent option for combining two end-of-line processes into one cell. The system is ideal for low-speed applications (under 7 cases per minute) and when floor space restrictions are present. To complete this unique system, the system utilizes AFA’s innovative gantry robot technology. The gantry robot acts as a case erector, case positioner, case indexer, and case palletizer all in one robot. The system can also integrate check weighers, slip sheet inserters, labelers, and other ancillary equipment.
Flexible End-of-Arm Tools
Whether it is bags, trays, cases, pails, etc., our robust palletizing frames combined with engineered end-of-arm tools (EOATs) can handle your application. We utilize mechanical grippers or vacuum to ensure we provide the right design for your application. Our EOATs have designs to pick up multiple products per cycle to increase speeds. We also have options for a crash detection sensor on our EOATs to protect your investment.
