MK-DLT – INTEGRATED DELTA 3 ROBOTIC CARTONER
The MK-DLT – Integrated Delta 3 Robotic Cartoner utilizes an AFA Delta 3 robot controlled through Allen Bradley servos and drives. The robot is mounted above the cartoner to provide accurate collation of product from either an indexing or continuous motion conveyor. An integrated Allen Bradley platform for motion and machine control offers one programming environment for operators. In addition, other benefits are provided to the end-user, including lower training costs, easier troubleshooting, and reduced maintenance costs.
The key innovation behind the MK-DLT is an Allen Bradley controls system controls the Delta 3 robot and the cartoner. Traditional integrated Delta 3 Robotic Cartoners will typically employ two control systems: one for the cartoner and one for the Delta 3 Robot. This method means that operators will have to be familiar with two control systems, which increases training and maintenance costs. With the MK-DLT, one integrated platform is used to control both the cartoner and the Delta 3 Robot. Standard features of the MK-DLT, include a servo driven rotary feeder, PanelView 1000 HMI, and category 3 safety.
Adds flexibility and high-speed collation at 220 ppm. Loading Funnels with servo driven pushers end load product into the carton. Sends feedback to the Delta 3 robot to ensure accurate pick and places. Intuitive screens allow access to servo motor control, recipe changes, machine operation statistics and more. Code daters, ink/laser jet printers, and bar code readers can all be mounted on the MK-DLT. Allows for small depth cartons. Ensures cartons with long widths are accurately squared, improving overall packaging quality. Handles square cartons with ease as the carton will be prebroken slightly before placement into the main chain conveyor.
